Uggghhh. Damon looks idiotically prissy too (what is with his bizarro posture and facial expression? His leg posture especially makes it look like he's got freaking hooves. I mean it's one step up from Wesley's "Grrr, frowny face! Grrr!" idiot!expression, but still, even Somerhalder can look better than that), and "Elena" looks like she just walked out of a Jennifer Lopez video. Blarf. I can live with icky Somerhalder, but I pray they recast the other two at least.
The actress playing Caroline is blonde and blue-eyed. She'd actually make a halfway decent Elena. Or would, if any of the casting agents had half a brain. Sigh.
I think they stayed away from blond haired blue eyed leading lady so as not to be too obvious that they were going to rip a lot of it from True Blood and not VD itself.
Also, with the CW upfronts tomorrow, we're bound to atleast get a HQ picture of the one above, or more pictures of the rest of the cast as well. I know with Melrose Place there's also a sneak peek video being released tomorrow, so there might be one for VD as well. :) Just a heads up.

Sorry, I'm just kinda sick of the bitching about how they look, and about how much people think the show will suck. I just wish everyone would give the show and the actors a chance. That's all. Lol.
Well, I admit I don't have much hope for the show as far as my personal liking of it, but whatever...it's a comm, so I feel like I can bitch a little bit haha :P I'm kinda annoyed and fed up with all things vampire, at the moment, so all the VD news starting to come in doesn't help. That's just my mindset, sorry.
Yeah but see, you're not a book fan. You only read the books because of the TV show. OBVIOUSLY *you* aren't going to care about all the changes, and that's fine and understandable. Others, however, do care, and they're not bitching about you NOT having a problem with the changes, so please give everyone else a break as they watch something they've loved for YEARS, and hoped for a good adaptation of, get completely torn apart.
I really really hate the casting on this show. =\ But I'm still going to give it a shot since I love the books. Hopefully the CW don't mess this up as badly as they did with 90210...
haha why does ian look like rob lowe there? and i'm sorry although small things like hair colour doesn't matter to a lot of people, elena will always be a blonde. i wish i could see more blondes as leads it seems to be all brunettes lately. she would stand out more in my opinion if she had her blonde hair, between two dark characters, it just makes sense. dark vs light. as all of lj smith's books are. ugh.
